Description

‘Chari’ is a very famous Rajasthani Folk Dance. With Rajasthani Folk music being played in the background, the women effortlessly balance a single earthen or brass pot on their head and simultaneously dance to the beats. Performers wear traditional and colorful Rajasthani dresses during the performance. What makes this dance so unique is the presence of a single lighted lamp that is placed inside the pot. This sight of the dancers swirling and moving to the beats of the music, with the lamp placed on their head, truly gives ‘Chari’ its unique appeal.
